Our Edge

Colombia is special for avocados, Antioquia is known as having an eternal spring. Every day is extremely similar, the weather changes depending on rain and cloud cover and it never gets lower that 65 degrees or hotter than 88 degrees. In addition, a major concern for avocado production is the amount of water needed to grow avocados.

Luckily, Colombia gets plenty of rainfall, in fact, avocado farms are usually built on steep hillsides so excess water has a place to go, and our trees get the right amount.

Lastly, Colombia’s economic situation creates a special investment opportunity because being able to grow an expensive fruit in a currency with a great exchange rate allows us significantly higher profit margins.

Most farming families live below the poverty line, living and dying on the farm. We are paying them more and giving them better access to quality healthcare food and living conditions.
